Step 1: Connect to your Computer. To download images to your computer by USB, place (e)film inside (e)port and close the door securely. Connect a USB cable between your computer and (e)port's USB connector. Within seconds of making the USB connection, (e)film will generate an audible confirmation tone. For details about USB connectivity refer to the section, "Verifying Installation.....USB". |
| Step 2: Open UI/DS. Start the EFS-1 UI/Data Source in either Stand-Alone mode, or TWAIN Data Source Mode. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Click on the Unload roll button on the toolbar- | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Step 4: Select Roll. At this point you receive confirmation that (e)film has image data to be downloaded. The number of images on roll 1 will be indicated. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Step 5: Specify a Folder and File-name Prefix. You may specify a folder or directory to which you digital negatives shall be downloaded. You may also assign a file-name prefix to each image to be downloaded in this session. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() |
Browse to a directory or folder to save your digital negatives.
By default, downloaded images will be named imageNN.dng Where NN begins with 00 and increments by 01 with each subsequent digital negative. By default digital negatives will be assigned sequential file names begin with image00.dng, followed by image02.dng, image03.dng, and so forth. |
You may assign your own file-name prefix for the current download session. Each image will be assigned sequentially beginning with name00.dng. In the event that the selected directory already contains existing digital negatives with the same prefix, the enumeration of new digital negatives will comense with a numerical suffix following the greatest suffix number. This ensures that new digital negatives will not overwrite those downloaded previously. Enter your choice of prefix (i.e "my file name prefix") by typing your desired prefix in the "File name" box. |
| After you have specified a folder and prefix, Click on Save.
Downloading will begin and (e)film will make a single confirmation upchirp and the (e)film LCD will begin a circular arrow pattern as shown to the right: |
