The camera will not power-up when the switch is in the "on" position.

Incorrect battery installation.

Remove the batteries and check for correct orientation (proper polarity).

The batteries are very low, or possibly dead. Try the camera with new batteries.
The camera has shut down automatically. The camera is in power-saving mode and has automatically shut down. Slide the switch to the "off" position momentarily, and then back to the "on" position again.

The batteries have drained very quickly.

The external temperature is too low.

Try to keep the batteries at room-temperature. When using the camera outdoors in cold weather, try to store it (between shots) in a warm place.

The camera has a mixture of old and new batteries. Replace all batteries with a fresh set.

The camera will not take an image when the shutter button is pressed.

The batteries are almost drained.

Insert new batteries.

The Compact Flash card is not inserted. Check the display for an error code.

Insert a Compact Flash Memory card.
The Compact Flash card is full. Check the display for an error code. Download images, delete some of the MP3 files, or insert a new Compact Flash memory card.
The Compact Flash card is corrupt, damaged, or has a different format. Insert new Compact Flash Memory Card. You may attempt to verify the formatting of the existing CF card if your PC has a card reader, or using the PC card slot on a laptop or notebook computer.
The object and/or background is not sufficiently illuminated. Check for an error code on the display.. Set the Flash to Automatic Mode.

The Flash will not engage.

The flash is off.

Set the Flash to Automatic Mode.

The camera fails to work when pressing any button or switch.

The camera is not functioning properly.

Remove the batteries and check that they are in the correct orientation, observing the polarity (+) and (-)

When the camera is connected by a USB port with the PC, data will not transfer.

The cable is not connected properly. Check the connections.
The camera is switched to the "off" position while connected via USB. When the switch is "off", the camera is in PC video mode. To download images to your PC or to upload MP3 files to the camera, detach USB Cable from PC and re-connect to PC while the power switch is "ON".
The operating system is not Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows 2000, or the PC is not equipped with a functioning USB port. Verify your computer has either Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows 2000. Examine system properties to determine that the USB ports are enabled and active.
The camera USB driver is not installed. Install the camera USB driver from the CD.

The video image does not display normally.

The PC has not processed incoming data from the camera properly.

Restart the program, after reconnecting the USB port.

Camera does not change from DSC mode to MP3 Player mode.

The Compact Flash Memory card does not contain any MP3 files.

Run MagicManager and place an MP3 file on the Compact Flash card.

There are difficulties with installing the software.

The PC does not meet system requirements.

Please verify that your PC meets minimum system requirements and has enough space on the hard disk.

The PC video Camera does not work.

The camera is switched "on."

To use the Camera in video mode, detach the USB Cable from PC. Slide the camera power switch to "OFF" and then re-connect the USB cable to your PC.

Quick Start, User Manuals, or Help files on the CD do not open.

Internet Explorer 4.0 or Microsoft or Netscape Communicator 4.0 are not installed.

To view all CD ROM materials, you must have Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator/Communicator version 4.0 or higher.

Failure to connect with Internet features.

Your PC is not connected to the Internet.

Check all Internet / modem connections.
