| Images and MP3 files can be exchanged between your camera and your PC by USB. 1. Before connecting your camera to your PC, install the camera driver software and MagicManager application software. The camera "driver" software is a small piece of software that allows your PC to recognize the camera and communicate with it. The driver software is installed only once, and you will not need to be concerned with it ever again in the future. The application software, MagicManager, is the primary application that you will use every time you wish to download images or MP3 files between your camera and camera.

2. Connect the USB Cable to one of the USB ports on your PC. |

3. Your camera is a multi-mode device:
To download images to your PC or, to upload MP3 files to the camera, detach the USB cable from PC and reconnect to your PC while the camera power switch is "ON"
To use your camera as a PC video Camera, detach USB cable from PC and re-connect to your PC while the camera power switch is "OFF"

4. When the word "USB" is displayed on the camera LCD Status panel, the camera has been successfully connected to your PC. |

Caution
- If, for any reason you remove, replace, or insert a Compact Flash card in the camera while the camera is connected by USB, slide the camera power switch from "off" to "on", or disconnect and reconnect the USB cable momentarily to re-initialize the camera connection.
