1. Adding Items from Disk to MagicManager Workspace

| 2. Downloading Images From Your Camera to Your Computer |
|

| To download (transfer) images (pictures) from your camera to your PC you will use the "Acquire" function in MagicManager. |

This action selects the "Image" category, which is relevant to digital still images (pictures) you have taken (captured) with your camera. |

Select a Folder |

Click on File, Select Source, "Digital Camera" |
|
There may be several imaging devices already installed on your computer. Any device that is "Twain" compliant will appear on the list of devices. For now, select "Multi-Mode Plus Camera". |

Click on File, Acquire |

This will invoke the Twain-driver User Interface. During the installation of the camera software there was a step called "Install Camera Driver." Make sure the camera driver software is installed before running this step. The next screen you see will be part of the camera driver software. |

Click on the images you wish to download to your computer. |
|
The small images you see are called "thumbnails." Select those images you wish to transfer from your camera to your computer and click on the "Download" button. Note: If you wish to select every image click on "Select All" |

| 3. Capturing Video From Your Camera |

Click on the "Video" Category Tab |

This action selects the "Video" category, which is relevant to live (real-time), or recorded video clips you have taken with your camera in it's video mode. |

Select a Folder |
|
You are specifying the folder (album) in which you will be placing your new videos. |

Click on Tools, "Video Capturer" |
|
First, make sure the camera power switch is in the "OFF" position and the camera is connected to your PC via USB. (Click here for: Instructions for connecting to your PC by USB.) Clicking on "Video Capturer" will launch another program, called Video Capturer. Video Capturer is a program within MagicManager that allows you to connect your camera in a video mode. |

Aim and adjust your camera. When you are ready to record a video clip, Click the "Record" Button. |
|
During the installation of the camera software there was a step called "Install Camera Driver." The driver allows your camera to provide a live video feed to Video Capturer. Make sure the camera driver is installed prior to this step. |

Click on "Save" to save your video clip. |

If you would like to save the video clip you have just recorded click on "Save." |

| 4. Adding MP3 Files to Your Cameras Compact Flash Memory Card |

Click on the "MP3" Category Tab |

This action selects the "MP3" category, which is relevant to audio files recorded in MP3 format. To transfer MP3 files to your camera, your camera must be connected to your PC via USB in the camera mode. |

Select a Folder |

You are specifying the folder (album) in which you will be placing your new MP3s. If there is no folder, or you wish to organize your music, you may create a new folder. |

Click on "File", "Add Item" |
|
This will open the "Add Item" dialog box. |

Select an MP3 file. |
|
Select an MP3 file that you have on your computers hard drive, or other storage media. The selected MP3 file (s) will be added to the current folder. The selected MP3 files is now entered into the selected album. It has not yet been added to your camera. That is described in the next steps. |

Insert a Compact Flash Memory Card into your camera. |
|
The next step is to prepare your camera to receive an MP3 file. Insert a CF Memory Card into your cameras CF Memory Slot. (Click here for: Instructions for inserting a CF Card.) |

Connect your camera to your PC.
|
|
Make sure the camera power switch is in the "ON" position. Using the USB cable, connect your camera to your PC. (Click here for: Instructions for connecting to your PC by USB.) |

Select the MP3 files which you like to upload to the memory card.
|

In the MagicManager MP3 work space, select (highlight) the MP3 files you wish to "upload" into your camera. The are the files that will be transferred to the CF Memory Card in the next step. (Note: MP3 files can be very large. Select a few to start.) |

Click on "File", "MP3 Upload"
|
|
This will initiate the actual transfer (copy) of the selected MP3 files to your camera. Note that a copy of the MP3 file will remain on you PC. In fact, you are copying the MP3, you are not moving, removing, or deleting the file from your PC in this process. |

5. Attaching Files to e-mail |
|
|
|
MagicManager also provides a simple way for you to send e-mail attachments with a software application called Postman. Postman has many powerful functions associated that can help you send e-mail attachments.
Select the items (files) you wish to send. Click on "Postman" and MagicManager will launch your e-mail application and attach the selected items. Postman will work with most common e-mail clients and mail applications.
