Quick Start Guide

This Guide will get your Camera working in a few minutes and provides a quick overview of the Camera.

What is the Scream 3 - in - 1 Multi-Mode Camera?
It's a Digital Camera It's an MP-3 Player It's a PC Video Camera

Step 1: Set-up the camera
  • Insert the batteries and the memory card
  • Install the hand strap
Insert the Compact Flash Memory Card as shown.
Insert two AA batteries as shown.  The raised bump on the end of a battery signifies positive. (+)

Step 2: Set up your computer
  • Insert the CD ROM into your computer's CD drive. A menu will open automatically.
  • First, install the camera software drivers
  • Second, install the "Magic Manager" application software
  • Third, restart your computer

Step 3: Choose what you want to do: Slide the power switch to the right to turn your camera ON.  Slide to the left to turn OFF.
A. Take a Digital Photo
Step A1: Prepare the camera and take a picture
In Camera mode the word "Hi" appears, signifying that the camera is in High-resolution camera mode.  If "MP3" appears, your camera is in MP3 mode and at least one MP3 file exists on the memory card.
  • Move the slider switch to the "ON" position
    • If the word "Hi" appears on the left hand side of the LCD display. You are now in camera mode and you are ready to take a picture.
    • If the "M" symbol appears in the LCD display, you are in MP3 mode. To change to Camera mode, press the mode button for two-seconds until the word "Hi" appears.
  • Point at a subject, look through the viewfinder, and press the shutter button to take an image.
"Hi" indicates camera mode
Press the Mode button for two seconds to change modes.

Step A2: Connect & transfer images to your computer
What is USB?
  • Slide the camera power switch to the "ON" position
  • Plug one end of the USB cable into the camera
  • Plug the other end of the USB cable into one of the USB ports on your computer
  • The Camera LCD will display "USB"
  • Start the Magic Manager Application Software
    • From the Windows desktop click on:
      • Start, Programs
      • Sunwiser MagicManager Folder
      • Sunwiser MagicManager icon
    • Click on "File", "Acquire"
    • Image thumbnails will transfer to your computer
Insert the rectangular end into either USB port on your computer

B: Listen to MP3s

Step B1: Transfer MP3s to your Camera

  • Start the Magic Manager Software
    • Click on the MP3 tab
    • Select or create an album
      • To create an album click on "File" from the menu bar and select "New Folder" from the menu
    • Click on "Add Item"
    • Locate MP3 files on your computer that you wish to add to your album
    • Select (highlight) the MP3 files you wish to add
      • Click on "Open" once the files have been highlighted
    • The selected MP3s will be added to your album

Step B2: Listen to your MP3s

  • Turn the camera on and connect the USB cable to your camera
    • Note: if the camera is already connected, disconnect and reconnect it
  • Highlight MP3 files from your album that you wish to upload to your camera
  • Click on “File” from the menu bar and then select “MP3 Upload” from the menu
  • Once the MP3 files have successfully uploaded to the camera disconnect the USB cable
  • Turn your camera off and then back on again
  • Your camera will start in MP3 mode. (Look from the small “M” symbol)
  • Connect the headphones
  • Press the enter button to play your MP3s

C: Use your PC video camera
  • Slide the camera power switch to the “OFF” position
  • Connect the USB cable to your camera
    • Note: if the USB cable is already connected, disconnect and reconnect it
  • Start Magic Manager Software
  • Select the video tab
    • Use the video capture feature to record images
    • Use Netmeeting to use as a Web Cam
